Jul 2013 - Sep 2013

Hunger is a natural response to a physical need. Throughout the Bible, God uses the physical need of hunger to reveal many spiritual truths. In this series the Creek’s End Ministry Team joins me to explore six lessons we can learn about hunger and having an appetite for the God who loves us and wants to commune with us.

Food and water are necessary for us to survive. Food replenishes our energy, rejuvenates us, and provides the basic building blocks for our bodies. How can a man be so hungry that he is willing to sell his right to the family fortune for a bowl of soup? Student Pastor Jesse Hicks will use the story of Jacob and Esau to show the dark side of hunger. We will learn how the satisfaction of the immediate can greatly affect the blessings of our future.

The first temptation Jesus experienced was about hunger. After fasting for 40 days, it was tempting for Him to turn stones to bread to satisfy His appetite. Worship Pastor Stan Lee uses this setting to show us how why we eat is just as important as what we eat.

In this message Lead Pastor Bobby Martin explores the excuses we give for not accepting God’s invitation to a relationship with Him.
