Baptism

Listen to Pastor Bobby's message "Baptism — What's the Big Deal?"

Baptism is an exciting opportunity to celebrate publicly your faith in Christ, follow Christ's example, and obey the teaching of Christ by being baptized. Please register online, or fill out a form at the Information Center. We'll respond with more information.

What is the meaning of baptism?

It is a picture of Christ's death, burial, resurrection, and our new life as a follower of Christ. "By our baptism then, we were buried with Him and shared His death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead... so also we may live a new life!" —Rom. 6:4

Who should be baptized?

Every person who has believed in Christ should be baptized. "Those who believed and accepted His message were baptized..." —Acts 2:41. Creek’s End waits until our children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them.

Why be baptized by immersion?

"As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water." —Matt. 3:16. The Greek word "Baptizo" means "To immerse or dip under water". It symbolizes Christ's burial and resurrection!

When should I be baptized?

"Those who believed...were baptized...that day!" —Acts 2:41. There is no reason to delay. As soon as you receive Christ into your life, you are ready to be baptized.
